I have bought my son an Asus 4G Surf for Christmas [/font]and I can not get it connected to my wireless network. I have researched this on the net and it seems that this is a common problem!

All I get is a PENDING message, I have tried manually finding the networks etc but nothing that the internet suggests seems to make a difference...

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated

Check if you have chosen the right kind of encryption from the drop-down box in the wireless network settings page. For example, if you have WEP selected but the network uses WPA, it will just wait forever and ever, without ever letting you know what's going on.

I tried everything including the WEP and WPA but nothing worked. I tried for 2 nights to connect the thing and then it worked! The only difference I did when it connected was to turn it on and let it find the wireless network itself. when it informed me it had found it, I then connected and it has been good since!
