Hi,

I have a Win XP pro that's a 4G with 16G memory card (which, it might not be able to access; when I start up there's a pop up about new hardware, unable to find drivers, but when I search for drivers I don't get anywhere) and 1G were the specs told to me when I got it with the Win XP pro installed. I've been asking it to run my internet connections (Atheros), IE, Citrix metaframe (for work) and my Vix Access so I can tether my phone, and syncing my palm, and I keep running out of memory space. I've taken out the palm syncing, and that seems to have helped but - is this sort of limited memory usual? Is there something else I can do, short of buying an ASUS with a 80 GB hard drive?

Thank you.
Puzzled that your 16GB card is failing to mount up properly. Mine just clicked in perfectly good as gold. One thought - is it possible your SSD card is faulty, or unformatted?

Er. Can I check this somehow? I do have a card reader USB that I could plug into another computer?

I think everything had been going fine when (*scuffs feet*) I tried to stop the card so I could remove it to look at it; the person I was speaking to just popped the card out without stopping the hardware and ever since then it has had this problem..

Thank you.

I reckon you need to put the card in a reader, on another PC. Then reformat the card. Copy everything off it first if you can. Then once reformatted, reinsert it into the EEE. If this doesn't work, it's probably a failed card. :-(
