- stream tv shows

- check facebook/hotmail

- play flash games and so forth

would the eeepc have any problems with doing any of the above?

Basically any of the EEE PCs will do these things. However which variant you choose will depend on your real budget and how "finessed" you want it to be. If windows is an absolute requirement then obviously that narrows your choices.

I own a EEE PC 701 (linux) and my girlfriend owns a EEE PC 1000 H with windows XP home. They are very different machines. The 7" display of mine does limit its "niceness" for watching divX movies and youtube etc.

The 10" screen is lovely on the 1000 H. It is an ideal machine for doing all kinds of activities. BUT it is physically quite a bit bigger.

Overall I think if I were buying again, I'd buy another 1000H. In the UK these retail for 349.00 at PC world. That's about the best price we could find.

hope that helps!
